ICANEWS Marzo 2005, Año 2 # 7
by Betina Bettendorf and Hilda López
“Theatre in English Workshop” Instructors
bbettendorf@hotmail.com
Theatre is a communicative art and teaching a communicative profession. Both reach their purposes by means of communication. Language is, therefore, a road along which actors and students must make their way.

Theatre may turn out to be a resourceful aid to be applied by teachers who are in search of an innovative teaching technique, which will enable students TO IMAGINE, CREATE AND FEEL. They incorporate their own life, their happiness or sorrows, if needed to make real what is pure fiction.

As human beings, why dig into theatre? Because it is almost the unique discipline in which you can break away with your own identity in order to explore the actor’s training and flesh out different characters. It helps you to develop the inner master who is control of your creativity in order to enjoy and foster a new area of development in your life.
