| Golf and electricity get together |

You
hit the ball with your new Titanium/Boron driver, for which
you paid more than a minimum salary, and look at the horizon
to check how far did it go, but, surprise!, the ball is
still there !!! Of course, you blame the
manufacturers of such stupid technology for the failure.
As it seems, technology and sports are becoming so related
that it is rare to see a sport where space age materials
are not being used to enhance the game
performance.
The case in hand is golf; where amateurs are counted by
millions. It has become one of the fastest growing sports
everywhere, even in Argentina. Everyday many new players
are brought into the game with the hope of becoming a new
Tiger Woods, or maybe just to score below 100 !
After you catch the golf fever, as any golf player can tell,
you would go beyond your limits just to improve your game.
Clubs, balls, books, shoes, classes will
be budgeted every month. Not to mention
the exclusivity of weekends for tournaments , and the golf
player's desire to receive golf presents.
For some strange reason, wives ,and in some cases husbands,
are not so happy about it, but if you are thinking in forcing
them to choose “It's golf or me,” I would recommend
you to calm down and think it twice. You would be surprised
to find out how many divorces happen because of the answer
!!!
But if you want to care about your beloved
golf fans, and make them happy, try to enjoy what they like
and try to find a way of helping them get home earlier.
A good choice would be to buy them an “electric golf
cart.”
These carts can carry the bag at a nice pace, while you
sip your cold beer (whisky is another option
) or even drive them by a remote control (pointing at your
opponent while distracted is not allowed, and beware of
lakes and lagoons) These carts prevent back injuries, they
allow you to rest between shots, and above all and most
importantly, you'll look cool !!!
They are ideal for people that are tired of carrying the
bag around. For some people, especially the elder or people
with some disability, it is the only option to make playing
golf possible.
While choosing an electric cart you should pay attention
to these points:
a) Strength: Make sure the cart's frame is strong enough
to support your bag (and drinks!)
b) Transport: Check how it folds, how heavy it is, and if
it fits in your trunk.
c) Battery and charger: Make sure the battery is good. Ask
for one that would last at least between 200 and 300 cycles
of charge.
d) Warranty and service: Verify that you have a sound warranty
and service to support your cart.
e) Budget: These days you can find electric golf carts at
a very reasonable price if you spare some time to look around.
Hope this would help you, if you are considering to buy
an electric golf cart for your beloved, or, why not, for
yourself.
