| For
many years I have been hearing how life-changing and transcendent
the Bede's Leadership Course was to students willing to
take it. My belief was that these rumors were widely exaggerated
- a two-day course, less than forty-eight hours of mind-boggling
and brainstorming to make a leader out of your average adolescent.
What do you know, it works big time.
The course is constructed like no other class young students
have probably ever attended. Designed to impress and instill
curiosity, you are tossed into a world
of doubt and reevaluation. None of the thoughts stirred
within will leave man or woman untouched. This is a place
where scars are forged and leaders are born literally.
The purpose of the course is not as much as making leaders
of people, but rather, one's own leader. You are faced against
the most realistic of real-world scenarios, and you suddenly
realize how clueless you are, how desperately
you need to fill the voids of thought.
