ICA STUDENTS / Level 6  -  Instituto San Alberto

In the month of September, a group of students from Level 6 at I.C.A., who are also classmates at San Alberto School, went on a field trip to Córdoba. In the following lines they have tried to summarise their highlights of this trip and to share with us the lessons they have learned, lessons which they will never forget......

We are from San Alberto school, and we are in ninth grade. This year we went on a trip to Córdoba and there we did a lot of things, we visited different places like churches, museums, and a little school in the mountain.
In that school we met a lot of little children that were very happy with our arrival. They were students from first grade to sixth,  and some that were from kindergarten. They told us how they live, for example that they  arrive to school by a bus that only picks them up once in the morning, and then at four o´clock returns them to the station. Also, they said that they have breakfast and lunch in the school because many of them live far away from the mountain. Moreover, they explained us that as in that area it doesn´t rain often, they have to be careful with water. They have a breeding ground, so we gave them some seeds to help them with it.
In the school we had a great time and we did a lot of things with the kids. The boys played sports, like soccer and basketball. The girls played games and took pictures. It was really nice seeing them so happy, enjoying activities that they can´t do every day of their lives. The children explained us about the history of their school and showed us some things that they had made with clay. They were selling them because they wanted to save money to go on a trip to Tucumán. So, we bought some of them not only because we wanted to help them. It was because they were very beautiful too. Finally, we painted with all of them a big drawing that showed parts of our city and with it we left a memory to them.
